StorEx South Africa rebrands to Evernex (Pty) Ltd

South African third-party maintenance provider StorEx has officially rebranded to Evernex (Pty) Ltd. after being acquired by the global, independent IT Life Services company in 2020.

StorEx, which was founded in 2008, has more than 60 clients across South Africa, Kenya, UAE and Turkey, and is now part of the worldwide Evernex team servicing more than 10,000 customers in over 165 countries.

Founded by entrepreneur Jan Beukes, the South African business has joined forces with Evernex, who has been supplying end-to-end data center maintenance services for more than 35 years, to deliver the benefits of third-party maintenance (TPM) to companies all over the world, with a true ‘glocal’ approach.

Third-party maintenance provides cost-effective and sustainable IT hardware support and service through a company that is independent from the original equipment manufacturer. Services typically include level 3 technical support (online or by phone), replacement or repair of enterprise and datacentre hardware, on-site engineering assistance, remote monitoring, operating support, equipment maintenance and consulting expertise.

“We are very pleased to have been hand-picked by Evernex, to help them meet the growing demand for IT maintenance and support services throughout Eastern and Southern Africa,” says Beukes, now Country Manager of Evernex South Africa.

Mohamed Bella, Managing Director Middle East and Africa at Evernex points out: “We are delighted to formally welcome the StorEx team to the Evernex fold. This integration allows Evernex to be a true African champion in the TPM market, with established offices in Algeria, Egypt, Kenya, Morocco, Nigeria and South Africa. The regional experience and expertise of StorEx is invaluable to our customer offering, and we look forward to building an even more flexible and reliable third-party maintenance service that delivers both economic and environmental sustainability for our clients.”

“Our goal has always been to help our clients optimise the way they manage their IT infrastructure well beyond standard end-of-service-life dates – minimising downtime, extending product lifecycle and reducing overall costs – without over-looking certain geographies such as Africa neglected by former giants in the industry,” says Bella.

“As part of an increasingly mainstream and more flexible IT strategy, our customers are already saving up to 70 per cent on IT maintenance contracts using our technology-agnostic advice to deploy sustainable solutions for their multi-vendor IT infrastructure.” he says.

StorEx, now legally trading as Evernex (Pty) Ltd will continue to service their valued South African customers, while retaining a level 1 B-BBEE status and offering extended universal support with access to 10 global call centres, online experts and over 330 forward-stocking locations world-wide, including the largest warehouse facility of spare parts in Europe.
